Bright Drill — User Agreement, Terms of Use & Disclaimer
Effective September 20, 2026 · Version 2026-09-20
1. Acceptance of this Agreement
By creating an account, signing in, or using Bright Drill (the "App", "Platform", or "Service"), you agree to be bound by this User Agreement, Terms of Use and Disclaimer (the "Agreement"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service and should sign out immediately.
If you are accepting on behalf of a child, a household, a classroom, or any other person, you represent that you are legally authorized to do so and that you accept this Agreement on their behalf as well as your own.
We may update this Agreement from time to time. Continued use after an updated version is presented, and your acceptance of that updated version, constitutes agreement to it. Material updates will be shown to you again for acceptance at sign-in.
2. Age requirements and parental supervision
The Service is strictly intended for individuals aged 6 years or older. It is not designed for, and must not be used by, children under 6 years of age.
Children between 6 and 12 years old may use the Service only under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The supervising adult remains responsible for what the child views, submits, and does in the App, including all interaction with AI features and social features.
Accounts are created and controlled by a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult. That account holder is responsible for all activity that occurs under the account and under every student profile within it, including safeguarding login credentials.
3. Educational content is provided on a best-efforts basis
Questions, answer keys, explanations, hints, difficulty ratings, topic tags, and any other educational content are supplied on a best-efforts basis. They may contain errors, omissions, ambiguities, outdated information, formatting problems, or answers that are incorrect or debatable.
No representation is made that content is complete, accurate, current, curriculum-aligned, or suitable for any particular purpose. You should independently verify anything that matters to you.
If you believe a question, answer, or explanation is wrong or unclear, please flag it using the report/flag control on the question. An administrator will review flagged items and correct them where appropriate. Review is performed on a reasonable-efforts basis, with no guaranteed timeframe, outcome, or obligation to make a change.
4. Grades, levels, exams and difficulty are suggestive only
Any grade level, difficulty rating, exam name, exam level, section structure, timing, or scoring shown in the App is indicative and suggestive only.
Practice sets and mock exams are not official materials and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by any school, district, examination board, testing organization, or the owner of any exam name referenced in the App. Exam names are used only to describe the general style of practice being offered and remain the property of their respective owners.
There is no guarantee that any practice set or mock exam matches the actual difficulty, scope, format, length, timing, scoring, or content of any real test, exam, assessment, or curriculum. Scores, percentages, rankings, and predictions produced by the App are estimates for practice purposes only and must not be relied on to predict real-world results, placement, admission, or eligibility.
5. AI features
The App includes AI-powered features such as an assistant, chat, explanations, feedback on written answers, generated practice, and reports. These features exist for study assistance and convenience only. They are not a teacher, tutor, examiner, counselor, therapist, physician, lawyer, or any other kind of professional, and they do not provide professional advice of any kind.
AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, out of date, or entirely fabricated. Take AI output with a grain of salt, verify anything important independently, and never rely on it as a sole source of truth for academic, medical, legal, financial, safety, or personal decisions.
You must not misuse or abuse the AI features. Prohibited use includes, without limitation: requesting, generating, or discussing illegal activity; sexual content, sexual content involving minors, or otherwise adult material; violence, self-harm, weapons, or drugs; hateful, harassing, discriminatory, or abusive content; attempts to obtain personal data about others; attempts to jailbreak, prompt-inject, reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or otherwise circumvent safety controls, usage limits, or access controls; and any use unrelated to the App's educational purpose.
Conversations and usage may be processed by third-party AI providers, may be logged, and may be reviewed for safety, quality, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. Do not enter sensitive personal information, contact details, medical information, credentials, or anything you would not want stored or reviewed.
Access to AI features may be rate-limited, changed, degraded, suspended, or withdrawn at any time, including for accounts that misuse them.
6. No guarantee of academic outcomes
The Service is supplementary practice — an extra aid alongside school, teachers, tutors, and official materials. It is not a substitute for formal instruction, professional tutoring, a school curriculum, an official test-prep program, or the advice of educators.
No guarantee, warranty, or promise is made that using the App will improve grades, test scores, class placement, admissions outcomes, competition results, confidence, motivation, learning speed, or any other academic or personal result.
You are responsible for setting realistic expectations, for deciding whether the App is appropriate for a given student, and for how much time a student spends using it, including breaks, screen time, and wellbeing.
7. Subscriptions, payments, cancellation, and no refunds
The Service may offer a free tier and one or more paid subscription plans (each a "Subscription"). The features, quotas, and limits of each plan are described in the App and may be changed, added, reduced, or withdrawn at any time. Plan descriptions, prices, and limits are provided for convenience and do not form any separate guarantee of features, availability, or outcomes.
By selecting a paid plan, completing checkout, and paying the applicable fee, you agree to purchase the Subscription for the billing term you selected (monthly or annual, as shown at checkout) under this Agreement as it exists at that time. Payment of the fee constitutes your agreement to receive the Service for that designated term on these terms, with no further confirmation required.
ALL FEES PAID ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE. Once a payment is made, it will not be refunded in whole or in part under any circumstances, including without limitation: partial use of a billing period; early cancellation; non-use, under-use, or dissatisfaction with the Service; accidental purchase; forgetting to cancel; changes to, suspension of, or discontinuation of features, content, or the Service itself; account suspension or termination for suspected violation of this Agreement; expiration or downgrade of a plan; unavailability of specific questions, features, or AI functionality; and any academic result or lack of result. You are responsible for reviewing the plan, price, and billing period carefully before paying. Where refunds are mandated by non-waivable provisions of applicable local law, any such refund will be the minimum required by that law and processed through the original payment method.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (auto-renewal) unless cancelled before the renewal date. The renewal fee is charged to the payment method on file at the then-current price, which may change as described below. It is your responsibility to cancel before renewal if you do not wish to be charged again; merely deleting the App, abandoning the account, or discontinuing use does not cancel a Subscription.
You may cancel a Subscription at any time through the billing page in the App or the subscription-management portal. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect only at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. You will continue to have access to the paid features until the end of that period, after which the account reverts to the free tier. No partial-period credit, proration, or refund is provided for the remainder of a cancelled period.
Payments are processed by an independent third-party payment processor, currently Stripe. We do not store your full card details; they are handled by the processor under its own terms and privacy policy. Prices shown may be subject to applicable taxes, which are added where required. Billing statements may appear under a name such as "Bright Drill" or the processor's descriptor.
If a payment fails, is declined, is reversed, or is disputed as a chargeback, we may, without notice, suspend or downgrade the account, withhold access to paid features until the matter is resolved, and treat a fraudulent or abusive chargeback as grounds for immediate termination of the account. You remain responsible for all fees incurred under your account.
We may change subscription prices, plan structures, features, and limits at any time. Changes to recurring prices will apply from your next billing period after notice is provided in the App (including by email where available). If you do not accept a price change, your sole remedy is to cancel before the next renewal. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of it.
We may modify, migrate, or terminate a plan, a promotional price, or a granted or complimentary subscription at any time, with or without notice, and without any refund, credit, or compensation. Nothing in this section obliges us to maintain any particular feature, quota, or price for any period.
Free-tier access, including its limits and features, is a courtesy and may be reduced, restricted, or discontinued at any time without notice and without compensation.
8. Acceptable use and community conduct
You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully or for any unlawful purpose; impersonate others; share account access with unauthorized persons; harass, bully, threaten, or demean other users; upload or transmit unlawful, infringing, obscene, or harmful material; use the App to cheat on any real assessment or to violate any school, exam, or competition rule; copy, scrape, resell, redistribute, or create derivative products from App content; interfere with, probe, or attack the Service or its infrastructure; or attempt to access data that is not yours.
Social features (profiles, handles, friend codes, groups, feeds, challenges, leaderboards) involve sharing limited information with other users. Any information a student chooses to publish may be seen by others. Supervising adults should review social settings and decide what is appropriate for their child. User-generated content is not pre-screened, and no responsibility is accepted for content posted by other users.
Accounts, profiles, or content may be suspended, restricted, or removed at any time, with or without notice, for any suspected violation of this Agreement or for the safety and integrity of the Service.
9. Availability, data, and loss
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features may change, break, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time without notice. No uptime, backup, retention, or data-recovery commitment is made.
Progress data, attempts, answers, reports, streaks, points, badges, and other records may be lost, corrupted, reset, or deleted. You should not treat the App as a system of record and should keep your own copies of anything you need.
10. Third parties
The Service relies on third-party providers (including hosting, authentication, database, payment processing, analytics, and AI providers) and may link to third-party sites or content. Those third parties are independent, and no responsibility is accepted for their availability, accuracy, security, pricing, or practices. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. No responsibility is accepted for the payment processor's handling of charges, disputes, or stored payment methods beyond facilitating the payment.
11. Intellectual property
All software, design, and content of the App, other than content you submit, is owned by the App's owners or their licensors and is protected by applicable law. You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only.
By submitting content (including answers, essays, reports, group or feed posts, and messages), you grant a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, display, and use that content as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, all warranties, conditions, representations, and terms of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, and uninterrupted or error-free operation — are expressly disclaimed.
13. Limitation of liability and assumption of risk
You use the Service entirely at your own risk and take full responsibility for your use of it, for any decisions you make based on it, and for the supervision of any child using it under your account.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform, the App, its owners, authors, developers, operators, contributors, affiliates, officers, and agents shall have no liability whatsoever for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, opportunity, time, academic standing, placement, admission, examination result, reputation, or goodwill, arising out of or connected with your use of, or inability to use, the Service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
This limitation applies equally to anything related to your Subscription, including any claim for a refund (subject to the no-refund terms in Section 7), a claim about changes to plans, prices, features, or limits, and any claim arising from a payment, renewal, cancellation, or payment-processor error.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, total aggregate liability for all claims is limited to the greater of the amount you actually paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or ten US dollars (USD 10).
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you; the remaining provisions continue in full force.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Platform, the App, and its owners, authors, developers, operators, and affiliates from and against any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, your violation of this Agreement, your violation of any law or third-party right, your purchase, payment, chargeback, or dispute of any Subscription fee, or the use of the Service by any student profile under your account.
15. Privacy
Account and usage data (including email address, student profile details, practice activity, AI conversations, and billing status) is stored and processed in order to operate the Service. Do not submit sensitive personal information about a child or anyone else beyond what the App requires. If you want data associated with your account removed, contact the App owner; removal is handled on a reasonable-efforts basis and may not be possible for backups, logs, or aggregated records. Billing and payment data is additionally handled by the payment processor under its own policies.
16. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. Cancelling a Subscription is not the same as terminating an account; see Section 7 for what cancellation does and does not do. Access may be suspended or terminated at any time, for any reason, with or without notice, and without any refund of fees already paid. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, the no-refund terms, limitation of liability, indemnity, and intellectual property — survive.
17. General
If any provision of this Agreement is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. This Agreement is the entire agreement between you and the App's owners regarding the Service, and supersedes any prior understanding.
You must not use the Service where doing so would be unlawful, and you are responsible for compliance with all laws that apply to you, including local rules on children's online services.
By selecting "I agree" you confirm that you have read and understood this Agreement, that you accept it in full — including the subscription terms and the non-refundable nature of all fees — that you meet the age requirements, and that you accept sole responsibility for your use of the Service.
